I'm thinking…Oh Happy Day!
I’ve been hearing the Body of Christ and the prophetic
community in general releasing the heart and mind of our God and of His plans
for us in this new year, 2014! I hear words about advancement, jubilee,
restoration, increase, double, fulfillment. We’ve received Words declaring us
fivefold officers, millionaires, entrepreneurs! Like everyone else… I am excited
about the plans God has for me!
As I meditate on these words, the one thing that becomes
clear to me is we have a personal responsibility in allowing these proclamations
to manifest in our lives. There is a process; a licensure that must be accomplished
in us to carry the weight and responsibility for the things promised!
I wonder if we as a Kingdom people sometime lose sight of
our part in the culmination of the Word of the Lord concerning us. When we hear
the grandiose words proclaimed over us as individuals (and certainly it is the
Word of the Lord to us) we are so excited to hear what God has planned for us; but
when the process to enter into it comes, oh my, how our attitude and
disposition vacillates! We want it to happen today, right now, without any work
or responsibility on our part…because after all; God said it!!!
In any professional or credentialed position one attains isn’t
there a process of preparation that licenses and confirms that you have
completed the course work? Isn’t there a process that confirms you have indeed
read the manual, understood the coursework, been tested, and here’s the
important part; deemed competent and found worthy of licensure or certification
for your particular field of study? Have we considered that we don’t just all
of a sudden get to be “it”? What is that process? 1 Corinthians 13:11 says, “When I was a child,
I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I
became a man, I put the ways of childhood behind me.” During our most recent season many of us were able to
put many immature things behind us. It is not unreasonable to think that the
grandiose plan that Father has for us is a grown up plan and we must grow up. Can
a child receive a license to drive when he has not been tested and proven? The
manifested Word of the Lord is truly certification that you indeed have been matured,
prepared, tested and licensed to receive His promise!
Remember Joseph? Joseph had a dream from God! Let’s face it,
when we receive a Word from God…it becomes our dream. When the Word of God is
released to us, it becomes a public proclamation of what Father intends for our
life. When the Word concerning you becomes public notice, you are not the only one who gets
wind of it. The enemy, the kingdom of darkness, are on notice as well. This announcement
of Father’s intentions for you kicks off a process. The enemy will hate you
because of the purpose Father has for your life. The enemy will fight you tooth
and nail to prevent the Word from being fulfilled. Like Joseph, we may become
puffed up with pride because of the thoughts Father is thinking toward us and
in turn think everything and everyone around us will agree with the Word. …Not
so! Believe me, to walk in your intended purpose will take humility. And so, we
have undergone an extreme and excruciatingly long process to possess the
promises of God over the years. Like Joseph, we may feel that we were sold a
bill of goods and went into types of slavery; we have been in our own personal
pits, we have been lied on and betrayed; we have been in our own personal
prison. But now, the timing and season has come for us to appear before the
King! The time has come to announce that not only are you free but you are
promoted as well! The time has come!!!
It took 13 years for Joseph to go through a process in order
to possess his promise. So let the prophets speak, let them proclaim 2014 as
the year of double! The number seven is prophetically symbolic of spiritual
perfection; being a multiple of 7, 14 partakes of its importance and, being
double that number, implies a double measure of spiritual perfection. These
past seven years of perfecting have now released you into a season to possess
the Word the Lord released and perfected in you in the past 14! The hell and high-water
you’ve been through have licensed you and certified you to walk in the double
of what you tested out of! Congratulations!!! It's time for your double! You
earned it!!
